Peter J.  Culcasi
Peter J. Culcasi, age 82, passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 22, 2016 at his home, with family by his side. Born in Natick, MA, he was a son of the late Vito Culcasi and Jenny Badalucco. Peter worked for 35 years with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT and was a private pilot. He was a veteran, serving in the US Army and also the Connecticut Air National Guard for over 20 years. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, Murrells Inlet Chapter and attended St. James Catholic Church in Conway, SC. Mr. Culcasi is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Culcasi; 2 sons: Thomas Culcasi and his husband, Jeff of Houston, TX, Robert Culcasi and his wife, Kim of Merchantville, NJ; a daughter, Susan Ryan and her husband, Steven of Glastonbury, CT; five grandchildren: Ian, James, and Patrick Culcasi, Margaret and Celia Ryan and one sister, Marie Robinson of Marietta, GA. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. A funeral procession will gather on Friday, April 29, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, www.parkinson.org.
