Pauline M. Melbourne of York, Maine and Somers, CT, passed away Wed., May 18, 2016. Pauline was born Jan. 20, 1932 in Presque Isle, ME a daughter of the late George and Meadie (Cluke) Clark. Pauline, who was also know as: Grandma, Ma, Lucy, Grammy and Mommy was an avid antique collector and could not drive by a tag sale without stopping and buying something. She was an interior designer extradonaire, fashionista, and world traveler. She backpacked through Europe and was a Cowgirl in Montana. She was a member of The On Way Lake Red Hat Society. She loved to cook and could make a meal out of anything, her specialties were baked beans and pot roast. She was the world's greatest wife, mother, and grandmother and had a gift of making those around her feel special and loved like no other. She saw the best in people and loved everyone, the balance was that everyone loved her. She leaves her loving husband of 43 years Allen D. Melbourne; 2 sons, Darrell J. Garvey and Daniel P. Garvey and his wife Diane; A daughter, Carline M Sulewski and her husband Joseph; Step daughter Claudia Melbourne LeFebuve; grandchildren, Jessie Garvey, Kimberly Garcia; Michelle Colglazier and her husband Joseph , McKenzie DiStefano and her husband Daniel; Alyssa Garvey, Briana Nisbet, Samantha Nisbet and Lucas Garvey. She also leaves her Great grandchildren Kayla Pruitt, Danielle Riddle and Lindsey Garvey and Katherine and Isabel Garcia. She was predeceased by her grand-daughter Kendall Garvey. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Sunday, June 26, 2016, from 11 am to 12 pm at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St.(Route 190), Somers. A funeral service in celebration of Pauline's life will begin at 12 pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson Memorial Cancer Center, 142 Hazard Ave., Enfield.
