Karen Louise  Bearce (Young)
Karen Louise (Young) Bearce, 53, of Enfield, beloved wife of David W. Bearce, Jr. for 30 years, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. Karen was born Jan. 24, 1963 in Springfield, MA and was the daughter of Lorraine (Lyons) Young of Suffield and the late Donald S. Young. She was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School and Western New England College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Karen was previously employed as a software engineer, an electronic technician and she worked with her Husband in his real estate business. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of East Windsor. She was a caring, giving and attendant mother to her three children. Her good nature and desire to be of help were ever present. She was nicknamed "Kare Bear" by her husband. Besides her husband, David and her mother Lorraine, Karen is survived by her loving children, David W. Bearce and his companion Amelia Gillette of Portland, ME; Robert G. Bearce and his companion Brett Guilmette of East Windsor and Emily A. Bearce of Boston, MA; her siblings, Donald Young and his fiancée Juanita of Springfield, MA, Donna Dulude and her husband Ken of Huntington, MA, Debbie Taylor and her husband Grover of NC, Diane Keane and her husband Peter of FL, Pamela Dulude and her husband Jim of Suffield and Susan Bouthiller and her husband Rob of Glastonbury, and many nieces and nephews. Karen’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Services for Karen will be held at 11:00 am Friday July 15, 2016 at the First Congregational Church, 124 Scantic Road, East Windsor (please meet at church). Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Donations in Karen’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
