Dorothy (Pease) Stolarz, 79, of Somers and loving wife of 43 years to the late Theodore L. Stolarz passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Dorothy was born January 2, 1937, in Stafford the daughter of the late Amos and Harriett (Ellis) Pease. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who gave tirelessly of herself. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Somers Congregational Church where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was one of the founders and coaches of Ponytail Softball in Somers. Dorothy was avid fan of UCONN Women's Basketball and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. She is survived by her two children, Richard Stolarz and his wife, Maria of Vernon and Linda Dobosz and her husband, David of Somers; her five beloved grandchildren, Adrienne Mantegna and her husband, Mark of Pompano Beach, FL, Kelly Stolarz of Vernon, Kerri Brown and her husband, Chris of Vernon, Jeremy Dobosz and his wife, Carly of Charlotte, NC, Leah Rochford and her husband, Peter of Stafford Springs. Dorothy was the doting great grandmother of Garrett, Noah and Luca. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Richard Stolarz; three sisters-in-law, Mary Jane DeLisa, Gertrude Persano and Elizabeth Nebelsky and her caregiver, Cecilia Arthur and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Sunday, July 24, 2016, from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., (Route 190) Somers. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, July 25, 2016, 10 am at the funeral home followed by burial in Somers Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Somers Congregational Church, 599 Main St., Somers, CT 06071.
