Obituary for Marjorie Heaton

Marjorie (Allsop) Heaton, 96, of Somers, CT loving wife of the late Donald A. Heaton, Sr. entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, August 19, 2016, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Marjorie was born February 1, 1920, in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Mary (Jones) Allsop. Marjorie was resident of the Somers Community since 1964 and member of the Somers Senior Center. She was an avid quilter and fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women's Basketball. She also enjoyed golfing and was a former member of the Elmcrest Country Club. Marjorie was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to be surrounded by her family. Marjorie is survived by her three children, Donald Heaton, Jr. , Patricia Charette and husband, Kevin, Barbara Jacius and husband, Joseph all of Somers; five beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Jacius, Michael Jacius, Peter Charette and Kyle, Stephen Charette and Timothy Charette; a great granddaughter, Amelia Charette and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by a grandson, Jaret Heaton; a sister, Edna Alice Burnham and a brother, Robert Allsop. All services are private. Somers Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
