Obituary for Rosemarie Olschafskie

Rosemarie  Olschafskie
Rosemarie (Cimino) Olschafskie, 83, of Enfield, daughter of the late Dominic and Angelina (Tammaro) Cimino entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, September 8, 2016, in the comfort of her home. Rosemarie was born June 3, 1933, in Enfield and was a lifetime resident of the community and a lifetime communicant of St. Patrick's Church . Rosemarie was formerly employed at the Enfield High School Cafeteria as a Supervisor, and following, she was a secretary at Sweet Life Foods. She was also the secretary for Ace Taxi for over 20 years retiring several years ago. Rosemarie enjoyed many Sunday dinners and celebrations with her family and she especially cherished the love and laughter of her grandchildren at the dinner table, and family picnics at the farm where she was raised. Rosemarie will always be remembered for her dedication to family, friends, church, as well as her wonderfully delicious home-cooked Italian meals. She was also a faithful fan to her favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox, and New England Patriots, which she followed passionately. She supported many charitable organizations and was always a selfless caregiver to those in need. Rosemarie is survived by her four children, William C. Olschafskie of Middletown, Michael J. Olschafskie of East Windsor, Patrick K. Olschafskie of Enfield and Ellen Paklos of Cromwell; 7 grandchildren, Brittainey, Abbie, Kenneth, Timothy, Patrick, Brian and Nicole; four great grandchildren, Carter, Dante, Chloe and Elena; her two sisters, Adeline Cusimano and her husband Joseph and Eleanor Maniscalchi, both of Enfield, a sister-in-law, Mildred Cimino, and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to Elizabeth, who was her caregiver. She was predeceased by her husband, William C. Olschafskie and a son, Timothy Olschafskie and her siblings, Joseph and John Cimino and Barbara Stefanik. Relatives and friends are welcome to join her family during visiting hours on Monday, September 12, 2016, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral procession will gather on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St.Patrick's Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Felician Adult Day Care Center, 1315 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
