Catherine "Kate" H. Santanella, 94, of Enfield, entered into eternal peace, Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Joseph's Residence in Enfield. The daughter of the late Bernard and Anna(Gatto) Santanella, Kate was born and raised in the Thompsonville section of Enfield and had been a lifetime resident of the community. She was formerly employed at Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. for 24 years in the Quality Control Dept. She enjoyed listening to her favorite music from the 50's and 60's and reading novels. She was also an avid NY Yankees fan. She is survived by her sister, Jennie Watson of Westfield, MA, and a sister-in-law, Terry Santanella of Enfield. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, and her extended family at St. Joseph's Residence. She was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Santanella, a sister, Carmella Gebo, and a brother-in-law, Robert Watson. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at the St. Joseph's Residence Chapel in Enfield. Committal will follow at St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery. Donations in Kate's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Residence, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082. Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels is entrusted with arrangements.
