Marvin A. Klaus, 65, lifelong resident of Windsor Locks, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2016, at home. He was born on July 6, 1951, in Hartford, CT; a son of Josephine (Kuczynski) Klaus of Windsor Locks and the late Fred Leopold Klaus. He was employed by the Southern Auto Auction for many years. Marvin was a member of the Italian Progressive Club and the Polish American Club in Windsor Locks and the Thompsonville Moose Lodge #1525 and Chapter 1302 in Enfield. He enjoyed music and photography and was a passionate debater of politics, sports or any topic that peaked his interest. He was an avid sports fan especially of the New York Giants and UCONN basketball. In his younger years he enjoyed golfing. In addition to his mother Josephine, he is survived by a brother, Brian Klaus of Windsor Locks, two sisters, Candace Foran and her husband Tom of Portland, OR, and Dr. Melissa Klaus of Windsor; a niece Alexandra Szotka and a nephew Aaron Szotka. Relatives and friends may join the family for an hour of visitation on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. A funeral procession will gather at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT.
