Rene E. “Ray” Moreau, 86, of Windsor Locks, husband of Mary (Levesque) Moreau entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Ray was born May 9, 1930, in Hartford, CT the son of the late Omer and Alice (Fournier) Moreau. Ray proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. A resident of Windsor Locks since 1990, Ray lived in Glastonbury previously. He was a member of the Gensi-Viola American Legion Post # 36 of Windsor Locks and an avid fan of the New York Giants. He was employed for several years by the Town of Windsor Locks. In addition to his wife, Mary to whom he was married 63 ½ years he is also survived by two children, Gail Lamb and her husband, Scott of Las Vegas, NV and Glen Moreau and his wife, Vicki of Glastonbury, CT; 6 grandchildren, two adopted grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by a sister, Jeannette A. Millette. There are no calling hours and funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
