Obituary for Grace E. Grant (Hoskin)

Grace E. Grant, 84, of Somers, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017. She was born in Fall River, MA on September 22, 1932; daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel (Cowell) Hoskin. Grace lived in the Enfield community for over 45 years before moving to Somers where she spent the last five years. While her children grew up, Grace was a homemaker caring for her home and family, then she was employed by Casual Corners. She enjoyed puzzles, traveling and gardening especially flowers. Grace is survived by two children, Debra Lee Varnauskas and her husband Joseph of Somers and Richard Grant and his wife Corrine of Ellington; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Jenna, and Zachary Varnauskas, Bryan and Kelsey Grant; a very special friend Richard Hoyt of Enfield, a niece, Sandy Gay and her husband James of West Palm Beach, FL and a dedicated home care aide Vivette Smith from Brightening Lives in Enfield. She was predeceased by a brother Clifford Hoskin. Grace's family wishes to thank, the dedicated staff of Masonicare Hospice for the care and support during this time. All services will be private.
