Obituary for John T Hatcher

John T. Hatcher, 83, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born on March 14, 1935 in Springfield, MA, the loving son of the late John and Gertrude (Putnam) Hatcher. John proudly served our country in the United States Marines Corps from 1957 - 1960 and in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1960 - 1963. He retired as an electrician from MeadWestvaco Corporation after 50 years of employment. John was also the former President of the USW Union Local 1-0001. He was an experienced organ player and electronics enthusiast. John is survived by his son, John M. Hatcher of East Longmeadow; a brother, Michael Hatcher and his wife, Patti of Leesburg, FL; a sister, Margaret Scagliarini and her husband, Bill of Springfield, MA; and two grandchildren, Allison and Ryan Hatcher, both of Shrewsbury, MA. A memorial service will be held at 9:00 am on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001. Burial will follow.
