Joseph D. Cimino, 60, died on January 12th, 2019 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Joe was the son of Barbara Cimino Raccone and his late father, Joseph F. Cimino. Joe forged lifelong friendships during his four years at Enfield High School, graduating with the class of 1976. Voted “Friendliest” by his classmates, Joe was known for his extraordinary kindness and incredible generosity from his first day until his last.

Joe was raised on the Cimino Farm in Enfield, and in turn raised his own children there. Much to the embarrassment of those children, Joe could most often be found wearing holey sweatpants and a ragged fleece pullover. He loved spending his summers at Lake Sunapee with family and friends. Joe was an athlete for most of his life, playing and following football and rugby. Joe adored live music, anything from Dave Matthews Band to the Hartford Jazz Festival. He, along with his father, was a proud co-owner of the T’Ville Tavern, and was active with the Mount Carmel Society.

Joe is survived by his wife Sandy (néeAlbee). High school sweethearts, Joe and Sandy spent 45 loving years together, raising their four children and countless dogs. He is survived by his children: Emma, Joey, Hope, and Jack and his wife Priscilla and his grandson Raphael. He is also survived by his two sisters, Lynn Seidel and her husband Seth, and Lori Stevens and her husband Dave, along with his mother Barbara and her husband Bob Raccone, and step-siblings Mark and Lauren. His nieces and nephews were a joy of his life, as were his beloved cousins, friends and godchildren.

There was no room that wasn’t brightened by Joe, and we will forever miss the warmth of his presence.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, January 19th at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, followed by a private service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation. To leave online condolences please visit

Dear Sandy and family, Bill and I were saddened to hear the news of Joe's passing. I can picture his great, impish smile when I think of him and it warms my heart. He was one of the good guys! Our heartfelt sympathies to all of the Cimino's and Albee's. Sue (King) Miller and Bill Miller.
